This pricing guide is intended for a domain reseller's perspective. End users will always pay much more than what this guide states. Since most visitors to this site plan on reselling domains, we've put together this handy guide for you.
Dictionary Words Domain Pricing
A word to the wise, always check possible trademark & copyright infringements. Major companies such as Apple, Microsoft & many others are going after registered domains that carry their names in a domain. Eg. iPhoneReviews.com
With all that said, dictonary word domains are the most sought after names. In pricing, try to keep the following in mind:
1.) Try to keep the domain as Short as possible. The shorter, the better.
2.) Target top level domains. TLD = .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO if you can.
3.) Keywords - important. Compare: Poker to Hold Em on a Google search.
4.) Avoid Hyphens in your domains. Currently, they are frowned upon.
5.) Desirability - The domain must be easy to remember & desirable by others.
The value of your domain can be difficult to measure. Depending on who you talk with, the value can really fluctuate. The best way to put an accurate value on a domain is to go through records of similar domains. You can lookup how much a domain sold for, date of sale & base a price upon that.

- 3-Letter .info - $140 (Unchanged)
- 3-Letter .biz - $60 (- $15 since November 1, 2007 report)
- 3-Letter .us - $60 (Unchanged)
- 3-Letter .mobi - $165 (Unchanged)
The quality of the letter composition can play a significant role in determining 3-letter valuations. General concensus states that the letters A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, L, M, N, O, P, R, S, T are considered premium letters. Other lesser high quality letters include: J, K, U, V, W. Lower quality letters include: Q, X, Y, Z. Domains selling for less than the above figures would represent a strong buy in today's market. Premium letter only domains tend to fetch a 500% to 600% premium (or more) over the Minimum Wholesale Price. Mixed letter quality domains have valuations somewhere in the middle of these two extremes.
